We Host
We Love Hosting Visitors and Special Events
Our farmstead is nestled within 10 pastoral acres, encircled by forest, in the heart of the Fieldbrook valley. While we are just a quick crows fly from the “coastal region” of Humboldt Bay, Fieldbrook is tucked within the hills, and therefore enjoys a unique microclimate that brings mild wet winters and warm dry summers.
Historically, Fieldbrook was a fish and hunting territory to the coastal Wiyot tribe before it was discovered for its majestic redwoods and heavily logged by European settlers. Today Fieldbrook is still largely undeveloped. Old and new homesteads and farmettes, a volunteer firehouse, and a community market/pub shape the character of our little country community.
Despite being heavily logged in the late 1800’s, Fieldbrook today is mostly forested with new growth and a few stands of more ancient redwoods. These beautiful trees, and the scenic drive through them, draw many visitors to our valley every year.
For the folks who wish to visit and experience a memorable time on our farm, we offer several opportunities to host visitors and special events.
